This painting is called « Tree of Life ».The artist was Gustav Klimt and he paintef this picture in 1912, he was born in 1862 in Austria and he died in 1918.

In the picture we can see two people who are having hug, they have got a long and colorful tunic there is a woman and a man.

Behind them there is a golden tree and a left there is a lady who’s watching them.

The Sunflowers

The painting is called the sunflowers. The artist was Vincent Van Gogh and he painted the picture in 1887. He was born in Holland in 1853 and he died in 1890.  He was a famous painter, because he painted some famous pictures.

In the picture you can see some flowers; in French they are called “les tournesols”. A lot of them are dead and a lot of them are alive. The flowers are yellow because these flowers aren’t blue.

They are in a yellow vase and the wall is blue.

The Gioconda

This table is called the Gioconda. The artist was Lèonardo da Vinci and he painted the picutre between 1503 and 1506. Lèonardo da Vinci was born on 15th April 1452 in Amboise and died on 2th May 1519. The table represents probabled Francesco del Giocondo his wife. this painting was paint with oil on popular wood. The Joconde is today at the Louvre Museum in Paris.

In the picture I can see a woman and behind her is a forest. She doesn't smile and I can see a lot of dark colors.

Bedroom in Arles

This painting was called « Bedroom in Arles ».

The artist was Vincent Van Gogh and he painted the picture in 1888.

Vincent Van Gogh was born in Netherlands in 1853 and he died in 1890.

In the picture you can see a bedroom with a bed, two chairs, one next to the bed and one in front of the bed. There are six pictures on the wall. There is a window and a bedside table.

There is nobody in the room.

This painting is called the Departure of the Winged Ship. The artist was Vladimir Kush and he was born in Russia in nineteen sixty-five and he his still alive. He presented this painting on 1st september 2001.

In the picture I can see a boat with thirty butterflies. There are some people with nets on the beach. There is a lot of wind and clouds above the sea. I can see a big boat on the waves.

I like this picture because the colour of the sea and the butterflies are beautiful.

Claude Monet was born on November 14th, 1840 in Paris and died on December 5th, 1926 in Giverny. He was a French painter, one of the founders of Impressionism.

Monet painted Saint-Georges-Majeur au crépuscule in 1912. We can see that the picture was not painted with a lot of precision. The colors are rather warm because the painting represents the blaze of a sunset. This picture is impressionist style. So the caracteristics of impressionism are the small format, the lines of the paint brush, the open composition, the use of unusual angle of viewing. This picture was used in the movie « The Thomas Crown Affair ».

American Gothic

In the picture there is a woman and a old man. The woman has got straight long hair and she is wearing a dress. The man hasn’t got any hair. He has got glasses and is wearing a black jacket. Behind them there is a white house. In front of the house there are plants.
