I chose Louis de Funès because he was the best actor of the 20th Century.

Louis de Funès was born in 1914. He started theatre school in 1942. After that, he met the actor Bourvil in 1966. Next, Louis de Funès played in the famous film "Rabbi Jacob" in 1973. He was a very popular actor from 1960 to 1980. Finally, Louis de Funès died in 1983.

I, Louis, member of the 9MA1 Nobel Academy, give the posthumous Cescole Nobel Prize to Elvis Aaron Presley, known as "The King".

I chose Elvis Presley because he is considered as the inventor of Rock'n'Roll.

He was born in 1935 in Tupelo and died in 1977 in Memphis. At the beginnig he was playing Country and Gospel music. He made his first album in 1956 and in 1977 he made his 32nd Tour, the last tour of his career. He married  with Priscilla Ann Beaulieu in 1967 in Las Vegas. He was also an actor.

Nobel Prize in science: James Watt

I, Raphaël, member of the 9MA1 Nobel Academy, give the posthumous Cescole Nobel prize to James Watt.

I chose James Watt because he was a fantastic inventor.

James Watt was born on 19th January 1736 in Scotland. In 1754 he learned to make mathematical instruments. Then, in 1767, he worked in the Forth and Clyde's canal. In 1769 he invented the condensation chamber and in 1774 he created an enterprise to produce improved steam engines. He invented the double action machine in 1782 and the steam locomotive two years later, in 1784. He died on 19th August 1819 near Birmingham.

I chose John Wayne because he was a famous actor. He was born in 1907 and died in 1979. He played in Pirats of the Sea in 1936, in the Idol of the Crowd in 1938, Men of the Sea in 1940 and Train Robbers in 1973.

I chose him because his a very good rapper.

He was born on 16th June 1971 and died assasinated in Las Vegas in 1996. He is the best CD saler after his death. In 2007 he was the artist earning the most money. In 1994, He was shot five times. On 7th September 1996 he was again the target of a shooting in Las Vegas. On 13th September 1996 he died in the University Medical Center.

I chose M. Jackson because he was a famous artist and singer.

Michael Jackson was born on 29th August 1958 and he died in 2009. He was called "The King Of Pop". In 1980 Jackson became a very famous artist with the songs Billie Jean, Thriller and Bad. In the years 1991 - 1993 he made a good album called Dangerous after that in the years 1994 - 1999 he made a new album HIStory. His last album is Invincible in 2001 - 2002.

I chose Araham Lincoln because he stopped slavery on 22th July 1862.

He was born in 1809 in America and died in 1865 in Washington. He was the 16th president of the USA. He started his first investiture in 1860 for four years and the second in 1864 and did not finished it. He was the president when  the Secession war started.

Nobel prize in Medicine: Robert Holley

I chose Robert Holley because I find him interisting. 

Robert Holley was born in 1922 and died in 1993. He was an American biochemist and received the Lasker Award in 1968. He obtained his PhD in 1947 and became professor of biochemistry in 1962. He received the nobel prize in Medicine in 1968.

I chose him because he's a famous bassist for the heavy metal band Slipknot.

He was born on 8th April 1972 and died in an Iowa hotel room on Monday, 24th May 2010 but the cause of his death is unkown at this time. He started in the band in 1992 and the first song of Slipknot was composed in 1992, too.

I chose Louis de Funès because he was a famous actor.

He was born on 31th July 1914. He learned the piano in 1919 and he started a cinema school in 1932. Next he married his first wife in 1936 and his second wife in 1943. After that he received the Grand Prize of laughter in 1957 and he got the "Légion d'Honneur". He died on 27th January 1983.

JFK was born in 1917 in Brooklin and died in 1963 in Dallas. He became president in 1961. He started the London School of Economics in 1935. He married Jaqueline Bouvier in 1953. He had his first child in 1956.

I chose Ayrton Senna because he was a famous Formula one pilot.

Ayrton Senna was born in 1960 in São Paulo. In 1981, he moved to Great Britain. He began formula one in 1984. Then he won his first race in 1985. He won the World Championship in 1988, 1990 and 1991. However he died in an accident in 1994, in Imola (San Marino).

I chose Charles Spencer Chaplin, Jr. because he was a famous actor, film director, film producer, scriptwriter, composer and mime.

He was born in 1889 in London, England. He was a very famous actor and film producer and he made some good films. There was "The Kid" in 1921, "Modern Times" in 1936 or "The Great Dictator" in 1940. He received many Oscars for this film like best Actor, best Film or for the best Original Screenplay.

He died in 1997.

Elvis Aaron Presley called ''the King'' was born on 8th January 1935 in Tupelo in Mississippi. When he was born, he had a twin but he was dead when he was born.

In 1948 when he was 13 he and his parents moved to Memphis, Tenessee. He began to do some little works to earn a bit of money. During the summer 1953 after having tried to do some works like truck driver, he started to sing in a little studio specialized in Gospel. Spoted by Sam Phillips he began the group ''the blue moon Boys''.

When he was alive, he sold 700 millions CDs, and now in 2010 we consider that 1 milliard CDs have been sold. He played in 31 films, did 1156 concerts in the USA and did 525 shows in Las Vegas. He was the first singer to do a concert broadcast by satellite and 1 milliard  of people watched it. When he was alive, he was the singer who sold the most CDs in the world with Michael Jakson. In 2008 Elvis is on the top of the richest dead famous people of the world with 56 millions.

I chose Albert Camus because his literature works are beautiful.

Albert Camus was born on 7th november 1913 in Mondovi and died on 4th january 1960 in France. He was an Algerian writer. He is noticed by one of his teachers in 1923. Then, he received a Nobel prize for his 5 works in 1957. He married with Simone Hié in 1934 and Francine Faure in 1940. He was 46 years old when he died.

I choose this actor because in his films, he was always angry,

Louis de Funès was born in 1914 at Courbevoie in France, he and his family were from Spain, but they left Spain to live in France. So his family left Spain to France before his birth, in 1904.

In 1942, he started to act in theatre plays. It is like that people met him at first.

In 1961, he started to play in cinema. He had a little role in a film where he acted a barman, he wasn't that we see in his fims yet. Then, he played in a lot of films, the gendarm at St-Tropez, etc...

In 1983, he was going to die, but he acted in a last film, The wing or the thigh.  There was an ambulance and his doctor, if he didn't feel fine.

Finally, he died in his castle (he was too rich).

I like him, beacause he was a famous dancer. Mickael Jackson was born in 1958 in Indiana. He was a singer and a famous dancer. His nick name was "The King of Pop". He invented "Thriller" in 1982 and "Billy Jean" in 1983 on a single. He  created the album "Bad" in 1987.

He died in 2009 in Los Angeles at the age of 51.

I chose Mozart because He was a famous composer

Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart was born in 1756 in Germany in Salzbourg. He was a famous composer for classical music and a famous pianist. He composed over 600 works and a lot of symphonies. He died in 1791 in Vienna.

I chose Michael because I like his music and his dance!

Michael Joseph Jackson was born on 29th August 1958 and died because of a disease in 2009. Michael was famous for his Pop music and his dance, particularly his dance step called ''Moonwalk''. Everyone loved Michael Jackson and was sad when he died, they called him ''The King Of Pop''! His album ''Thriller'' came out in 1982, ''Bad'' in 1987 and ''Dangerous'' in 1991.

I, Torne, member of the 9MA1 Nobel Academy, give this posthumous Cescole Nobel prize to Mahatma Gandhi. I chose him because he did lots of things for his country. 

Mahatma Gandhi was born on 2nd October 1869. He was the political and ideologicial leader of India during the Indian independance mouvement. He married in 1882, when he was only 13. From 1888 to 1891 he studied in London. In April 1918, during the latter part of World War I, the Viceroy invited Ghandi to a war conference in Dehli to support his Empire. He died on 30th January 1948.

I chose Elvis Presley because he is a phenomenal actor and a singer.

He was born on 8th January 1935 and died on 16th August 1977. In 1957, Elvis Presley made his first tour with Scotty Moore, D.J. Fontana, Bill Black and the Jordanaires. In 1958 he was in Millitary Service. He married on 1st May with Priscilla Ann Beaulieu at Las Vegas. After one year, he had a daughter called Lisa-Marie. He made his last concert in 1977.

Elvis Presley was an idol for millions of people.
